One of my greatest joys as gardener and person is in finding new ways to close the loop. I have a massive ornamental olive tree, and several camellia “trees” in my backyard and whenever a branch falls or dies I dry it out, and use it for cooking things from my garden. After all that’s done I take the ashes and/or biochar and put it in my compost, or directly into my garden, and it all goes back to where it came from. Make no mistake - this is not every meal or every day for me, but celebrating the small wins and success towards having a closed loop in my garden is worth celebrating and something I hope everyone can try to do in their garden. #regenerativegardening #biochar #sustainablegardening #gardeninginspiration #gardeninspiration #livingsoil
