Lover Girl Era in full effect. Today, I got dressed in an outfit that made me feel fabulous and chic (you know the kind that just hits different), and I took myself out. I visited my friends over at Judith Cafe, had a delicious meal, and soaked in good conversation. And let me tell you, I left feeling so reset. What I’m learning—again—is that I don’t need a lot or to do the most to feel cared for. But when life pulls me in every direction (mom life, coaching, side hustles at the CBD store), it’s so easy to lose sight of my own care. Sometimes the routines we cling to stop working, and we forget to switch things up, to ask ourselves, What do I actually need right now? For me, it’s moments like today. Putting on something that makes me feel amazing. Slowing down to enjoy good food and connection. Stepping out on my own, like I used to before marriage and motherhood, when I was in my season of self-discovery. I didn’t realize how much peace I found in those solo dates until I stopped making time for them. But now, I’m remembering. Taking yourself out isn’t selfish—it’s sacred.
