Single Leg Training for Soccer ⬇️ This is one of my favorite single leg isometric exercise for athletes.  Its a great way to get the ankles, knees, and hips stronger.  Here are the instructions I gave this athlete:  1️⃣ Knees Forward: push the knee as far forward as you feel comfortable.  2️⃣ Base of Big Toe: maintain pressure over the ball of the big toe to really get the glute working during the hold.  3️⃣ Hand Pressure: make sure to be light with the hands and to just use them for balance. Single leg training guide ⬇️  Want to start incorporating unilateral exercises and don’t know where to start?  Here are a few movements to get you started:  1️⃣ DB Lateral Lunge: great way to introduce the frontal plane and strengthen the adductors eccentrically.  2️⃣ DB Curtsy Lunge: introduce loading to the glutes by adding in some rotation with the curtsy reach.  3️⃣ Step Up: improve power and the concentric strength of the hips. Adjust the hip height to match your available hip range of motion.  4️⃣ Supported RDL: great way to facilitate strength and length in the posterior chain muscles.
