Reverse breathing - there's a lot of reasons why we fall into the pattern of reverse breathing. Whether it was societal pressure to constantly suck it in, trauma, or whatever it just doesn't matter, but we need to fix it. We need to bring awareness around it. The Obturator Internus has three big jobs. 1) abduction 2) external rotation when the leg is flexed 3) stabilizing the head of the femur bone within the hip socket. This is a quick overview of ways that you can strengthen and lengthen the OI and while I can't get into every nitty-gritty detail here in a 90 second video, I did just drop a 30 minute express class where we go into each of these moves in depth and I cue a lot on what to be aware of while you're in these positions. there's several other things we do as well.
