Body Recomp Plan: I’m in a 300 calorie deficit, I won’t eat any less than that because I want to be eating enough to support muscle growth⁣ ⁣ ⁣ 2. Eating 1 gram of protein per pound of goal body weight (130 grams of protein per day)⁣ ⁣ 3. Keeping fat around 25 to 30% of my total calories (this has been super challenging tbh — can’t/won’t give up my whole milk or cheese😂)⁣ ⁣ 4. Hitting my step goal of at least 10,000 steps per day⁣ ⁣ 5. Strength training 3 to 5 days per week. this is how to lose 10 pounds before the end of 2024 *without* wrecking your metabolism 🔥 1️⃣ Start by tracking everything you eat & drink for a full week. Use an app to log calories and macros (protein, fat, and carbs). This will help you determine your maintenance calories—the amount you need to stay at your current weight. 2️⃣ Once you know your maintenance, a 600 calorie deficit will help you lose ~ 10 pounds before the end of the year (600 calories/day x 7 days = 4,200 calories 👉🏼 1.2 lb weight loss per week x 8 weeks left in year = ⬇️ 9.6 lb) 3️⃣ Eat 1 gram of bioavailable protein per pound of your goal body weight. Protein is essential for building & preserving muscle as you lose fat, which is key for body recomposition🔑 4️⃣ Keep fat around 25-30% of your total calories to support hormones & satiety.
