I know you want a smaller waist so you started doing side planks, LOTS of side planks. Here’s the problem: the over use of your obliques is WIDENING your waist. The internal oblique muscles are causing the lower ribs to flare out due to their strong pull on the rib cage. Your obliques are working too hard compared to other muscles of the abdomen leading to a flared rib cage appearance. I suggest a variety of ab exercises, even the curl up because your rectus abdominis is so weak. Even your hip flexors are weak! So your internal obliques are overactive compared to the transverse abdominis and external obliques, it can pull the ribs upwards and outwards, causing the flare. #abrehab #abdominales #abexercises #diastasisrecti #obliques
That stubborn lower belly pooch after pregnancy isn’t just about extra skin or weight—it’s often a sign of weakened core muscles and stretched fascia. During pregnancy, your abdominal muscles stretch to make room for your growing baby, and the deeper core muscles like the transversus abdominis and pelvic floor lose some of their ability to activate effectively. In Ab Rehab, we focus on rebuilding your core from the inside out. Using proven techniques like diaphragmatic breathing, release work, deep core activation, motor skill reprogramming and progressive strengthening, we reconnect and retrain your core muscles to function properly. We also address posture, alignment, and movement patterns that might be contributing to that lower belly bulge (it’s all connected!) It’s not about quick fixes—it’s about restoring strength, function, and confidence in your body the right way, for good. our new year our rehab challenge starts Wednesday, January 8. You can join us and start for free. 🖇️ in bio #abrehab #postpregnancy #csectionrecovery #pelvicfloor #diastasisrecti

Pelvic floor issues are just about leaking🫠. Symptoms like hip clicking/popping, pelvic pain (including interstitial cystitis), jaw tension, pain with sex, low back or tailbone pain, leaking, and even difficulty starting urine can all be tied to pelvic floor dysfunction. Your pelvic floor does so much more than you think—sometimes you just need to connect the dots ❤️‍🩹 #abrehab #postpregnancy #csection #pelvicfloor #diastasisrecti #momtok
