But I started thinking about two things: the quality of the ingredients I’m eating and how much money I’m spending on takeout every month. Let’s break it down. Sure, a $10 orange chicken meal sounds great, but if you’re like me and grab takeout 3 times a week, that adds up to $120 a month 😱. When I switched to meal prepping, I realized I could use that same $120 to prep WAY more meals, with ingredients I trust and flavors I love. The best part? When I cook at home, I control everything—the ingredients, the portions, and the taste. I can make my own personalized orange chicken with cleaner, fresher ingredients and skip all the added stuff I don’t want. And if you have food allergies or specific dietary needs, like me, meal prepping makes it so much easier to enjoy food without stress.
