Jiu Jitsu has changed my life! This video was about a year ago, when my brother Nate Dawg and I were just white belts, rolling and learning together. Now we’re both blue belts, but I’ve definitely hit a bit of the “blue belt blues.” I miss those 2-a-day sessions where I was constantly improving, pushing myself to be better than the day before. I’m grateful to be where I’m at today as an artist, entrepreneur, and with a lot more coming. One thing that’ll never change is my love for BJJ and the second family I’ve found at @aganjiujitsu. My first day there, my 6’6 little brother tama and I walked in, and immediately felt at home in a Polynesian-owned gym. Even though we didn’t know much, we rolled like we’d been doing it for years. Rolling with higher belts was humbling, but it taught me so much—keeping calm in the chaos, staying aware, and constantly learning from every roll. Big shoutout to Professors Brandon and Cless. They’re real killahz —always keeping it real and making sure we level up every practice. Grateful for this journey and for everyone who’s part of this family. If you’re thinking of starting BJJ, start. You won’t regret it. You should see the gc 🤣🤣 what a coincidence this would be posted the same day
