I’ve experienced shin splints before ⬇️ Initially in 2021, I struggled with the pain during and after my runs, which was both frustrating and demotivating. I just got into running and it was very frustrating because every run was painful. I knew that I had to change something. To be fair, I had no experience in running before and I was learning a lot. I knew I had to do something, so I started stretching my calves every day, using a foam roller, and icing my shins after runs to cut down the pain. It made a huge difference when I switched to better-fitting shoes too. If you’re dealing with shin splints, try these tips: stretch, ice your shins, check your shoes, and maybe ease up on the intensity of your runs.
