Other tips for Airbnb life: ✅bring ziplocks 🔆bring a dish sponge from home to avoid CC 💯use paper plates for this short bit and get back to saving the environment later! ☑️ we used to bring a pillowcase for my son who had super sensitive skin. But other bedding was fine in jammies! ✨portable air purifier for his room (I’ll post the one we like in stories, or DM me) #foodallergies #travelingwithfoodallergies #foodallergyawareness #foodallergymom #treatment #foodallergytreatment #tip
Allergy treatment bringing us a huge helping of food freedom this year is the best Christmas present I could’ve asked for. Our journey isn’t over (still working through peanuts) but the wound has mostly scarred over. If you don’t have a child with allergies — you may think that’s all a bit dramatic. But I’m telling you… stressing over food— that stuff we all have to eat multiple times a day to survive — for years, will wear on you. Hearing your child vocalize the feeling of being othered for something they can’t control. Watching them have reactions. It’s impossible to describe. I’m so thankful that these wins are healing me. And I hope for him, it’s all a distant memory. #foodallergyawareness #foodallergies #foodallergyfamily #foodallergymom #foodallergytreatment #tiptreatment #tip
Just two more appointments after this one! We will go home and he will eat 18 peanuts 6 days a week for 4 months during his dosing periods in the afternoons. (He will still eat his other maintenance foods in the morning.) The 7th day is an exploration day. He can eat any peanut food or candy he wants! Ummm Reese’s? PB&J? My brain can’t understand it all yet. The next visit in this program is called Tolerance 2. He will challenge peanuts again in a larger amount. Then the next visit 6-8 weeks later will be his graduation! 🥹 The finish line is so close we can taste it! Especially with the dairy freedom we’ve already been enjoying. But most of all, I feel like my baby is safer in this big world. Feel free to comment any questions and I’ll try to answer!! (For those unfamiliar, he’s in the TIP program at @Food Allergy Institute ) #foodallergies #foodallergymom #foodallergyawareness #foodallergylife #tiptreatment #foodallergyinstitute #foodallergyfamily
REAL LIFE. Phew! We did it! I’m tired. Actual footage of the aftermath…and that was after one load of dishes. I’m sending a big virtual high five 🖐️ to all who made Christmas magic AND safe Christmas food. #f#foodallergiesf#foodallergyf#foodallergymomf#foodallergylifef#foodallergyfamilyc#christmasaftermathallergyfriendly
And this video is missing a few things because I still need to run to the grocery store to pick them up. Which if you know about TIP, the fact that we are at a point in treatment where we can get the foods from a normal grocery store is HUGE. (The amount of things we had to special order from somewhere like Kazakstan is wild!) And by the way, location to grocery store like Whole Foods is often a factor when picking where to stay on any trip. 😵‍💫 That and no pets allowed, proximity to emergency services. Etc. etc. It’s a lot and it’s exhausting but we haven’t let allergy treatment control us either. We make it happen however we can and however feels right. Even the trips out to California for the treatment itself are a ton of work. But consistency builds results for most — and it really does feel worth it. #treatment #foodallergytreatment #tiptreatment #foodallergies #foodallergymom #foodallergylife
What. A. Year. A few reactions, but far more wins, freedoms and successes! Plenty of illness but mostly healthy. Anxiety and stress, sure — but mostly happy and content. That’s all we can really ask for! I can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store!! #2024recap #lookback #foodallergymom #foodallergyawareness #foodallergyfamily #foodallergies

I’m always trying out new recipes for my family and this one they love. Being a food allergy mama isn’t easy for finding something we can all eat. #cooking #chickenpotpie #foodallergymom #chicken #cookingtiktok
Learning something new every year. What to put up with, what to fight for, what to let go, what to hold on to for dear life. I missed out on a lot this year so I’m going to focus on BEING PRESENT even if it means running myself into the ground. I’m going to make 2025 like it’s my last year on earth. Time to have some fun and unforgettable memories. #MomsofTikTok #fishing #baseball #explore #bucketlist #sahm #travel #adhd #anxiety #foodallergymom #plan #vacation #wild #Outdoors #getoutofyourcomfortzone
