Autoimmunity is no joke. I lived through it for many years without many real answers in BOTH the Western medicine world and the holistic health world. Look, genetics do play a role here AND they are also not the ONLY thing to play a role. Just because you have an autoimmune disease doesn’t mean you are destined to live in pain and agony for the rest of your life. Identifying and addressing YOUR root causes can help: -reduce overall symptoms -limit flares (some people may even be able to go into complete remission) -increase energy -enhance mood -help support other pieces of your health like gut, hormones, mental/emotional health, living at a healthy weight and more! I was able to put mine into remission completely without any sort of medications and have been able to stay in complete remission for many years now (looking at both symptoms and lab tests). This may not be the case for everyone, but you can 100% feel better. If you need help figuring out and addressing YOUR root causes so you can finally start to feel like yourself again, book your free consult with us (link in bio). #autoimmunedisease #chronicillness #thyroid #hypothyroidism #hypothyroid #graves #hasimotos #autoimmunewarrior #autoimmunecoach #uc #chronsdisease

“Just eat less and move more.” Oh, so you did. 1,200 calories a day. Cardio like it was your full-time job. And yet… 🚨 The scale didn’t budge. 🚨 Your stomach stayed bloated no matter what. 🚨 Your face looked puffy 24/7. 🚨 And your period? MIA. Meanwhile, you were exhausted, freezing all the time, and wondering WHY your body seemed to hate you. But here’s the truth: your metabolism wasn’t broken—it was in survival mode. You weren’t fueling it. You were fighting it. Then you finally stopped starving yourself. You focused on blood sugar balance, nourishing your body, and actually giving it what it NEEDED. And guess what? ✨ The weight started moving—without punishment. ✨ The bloating disappeared (because your gut wasn’t freaking out anymore). ✨ Your period came back like, “Oh hey, remember me?” ✨ Your body started working WITH you—not against you. This is the work I do with my clients. Because NO, you don’t need to eat less and work out more—you need to heal your metabolism. go to the website on my page to learn more about my 12 week group coaching program, hot and healed that starts next month to kickstart your own healing journey! #eatlessmovemore #eatless #metabolism #pcos #pcosweightloss #pcosweight #thyroid #thyroidproblems #thyroidhealth #hypothyroid #hormones #stubbornweight
I bet your doctors didn’t run these THYROID markers!! Comprehensive testing is really important in addressing any condition. COMMENT down below ⬇️ DO you have normal TSH, but still have thyroid symptoms? This could be due to the fact that we’re not getting to the root 🌱 cause of your thyroid problem. Some basic testing I recommend is a CBC with differential, Complete metabolic panel, iron & TIBC, lipid panel, and as many thyroid markers as you can get (TSH, free T4, free T3, reverse T3, T3 uptake, and TPO and TG antibodies). This is a starting point to understanding your body (and what’s really impacting your thyroid), so you know how to start supporting your body to heal. If you need help in running lab work or understanding your results better, book your free consult (link in bio)! #hormonehealthtiktok #estrogendominance #periodcramps #clotting #pms #hormoneimbalance #thyroid #hypothyroid #thyroidcheck #periodproblems

You should eat low carb if you have a thyroid problem like hypothyroidism and want to lose weight, right? No! Cutting your carbohydrates has been shown to REDUCE thyroid function by negatively impacting thyroid lab tests like free T3 and reverse T3. The change that we see in people who go low carb for long periods of time mimics the same thyroid lab tests we see in chronically ill patients and in those who starve themselves. In other words, if you want better thyroid function and better thyroid lab tests, you need to eat more carbs. This applies if you have hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's, and even if your thyroid has been removed. But how many carbs do you need? The answer? At least 100 grams per day. These carbs should be consumed as whole food sources, NOT processed foods like pastries, cookies, cakes, donuts, etc. And don't be stingy on fruits or 100% fruit juice either as both of these are healthy options and will not cause weight gain. Don't worry about carbs causing weight gain either, because that's not the case (see the studies in the video for proof). Cutting your carbs is a big mistake that thyroid patients make when trying to lose weight and if you want to see the others then check out this video: https://youtu.be/vxtia4SlX7g?si=pSJD9niICtyVMk9y The 100-gram/day minimum even applies to those thyroid patients who have insulin resistance and the number only goes up from here depending on your activity level. Follow @followyourgutnutrition if you’re hypothyroid and want health tips that make sense for YOU. Having the all-or-nothing mindset is a big saboteur for anyone working to improve their nutrition and fitness. But if you’re hypothyroid? It hits different. You don’t always have 100% to give and that’s OK. As long as you work with it instead of trying to fight against it. Giving 20% one day, 50% another day, 90% another day, and 2% another day is going to be 10x as effective as only showing up when you can do ALL the things and bailing the second you can’t. Does this resonate? How does the all-or-nothing mindset show up for you?? #hypothyroid #hypothyroidhealthcoach #hypothyroidhabits #hypothyroidexpert #hashimotos #hashimotoshealthcoach #hashimotoshabits #hashimotosexpert #autoimmuneexpert #habitchange #dallasnutritionist #hypothyroidlife #hypothyroidstruggle #hypothyroidlifestyle #hashimotoslife #hashimotosstruggle #functionalnutritionist #functionalnutritionpractitioner
Roughly 80% of hypothyroid or low thyroid patients say that they have trouble losing weight. It's for this reason, that they are often attracted to dangerous diets that promise rapid weight loss. Unfortunately for them, instead of rapid weight loss, they are often met with thyroid damage, metabolic damage, and short-lived changes on the scale that revert back to normal the second they stop. Which is why today I'm going to talk about the most powerful weight loss treatments that exist for thyroid patients. If you are looking to lose weight SAFELY while ensuring that your weight won't just come right back on the second you stop, these are for you: 1. Prolonged fasting (1-4 days) Fasting is hands down the cheapest and most reliable way to lose weight. While it is a form of calorie restriction, it works better than daily calorie restriction for patients with thyroid dysfunction (see the video for more info as to why). 2. Strategically decrease carbohydrate intake Your thyroid needs carbohydrates, at least 100 grams per day, but you can strategically reduce your carb intake to push out water weight and nudge the scale downward. This is great if you need to rapidly lose some weight for something like a wedding. But given their importance for daily thyroid function, carb cycling works better than long-term low carb diets. 3. Zone-2 training Zone-2 training promote more fat burn than any other level of exercise and it's perfect for thyroid patients because it's lower in intensity than HIIT. This means better compliance, more fat loss, and less fatigue. 4. T3 thyroid medication T3 thyroid medication is by far the most powerful thyroid hormone available and it also happens to be the best for weight loss. The only problem? It's hard to get. If you can't get T3 then opt for T2 instead which is available over the counter and comes in cream and capsule form. 5. GLP-1 agonists I'm not a huge fan of GLP-1 agonists in general, but there's no question that they do work and there may be a situation where using them makes sense. #thyroid #hypothyroid #hashimotos #thyroidsupport
