Home to Michigans largest indoor waterpark, this destination offers Hallmark movie charm with great family activities. ☘️March: Spend a luxury getaway at the French Lick-West Baden Resort in Indiana. 🏛️ April: Take the family to St. Louis, MO. Spend a day at the City Museum, go up in the historic St. Louis Arch and take a cruise down the Mississippi. 🌷May: Don’t miss Tulip Time in Holland, MI. You will feel as if you are in the Netherlands! 🎅June: Visit Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana 🥾July: Explore all the caves in Bowling Green, KY. It’s the perfect home base for Mammoth Cave, Dinosaur World and Lost River Cave. 🌻 August: Explore Ohio’s Lake Erie Coast and Islands. Ohio’s is home to many natural bridges but the largest one that you can cross is the at Rockbridge State Nature Preserve. 🥾 The natural bridge or arch is 100 feet long and 10 to 20 feet wide, and gracefully arches 50 feet across a ravine 🌳 Tucked away in Rockbridge, Ohio (near Hocking Hills) the state preserve offers 2.75 miles of moderate hiking trails. ‼️The trail has lots of tree roots, elevation changes and can be muddy. Wear proper hiking shoes and bring water. 🦟Bug spray and sunscreen are a must! 🚗 There is a parking area but not any picnic tables, garbage cans or restrooms. If you bring a snack pack it out. 🌟The area by the bridge has steep cliffs, stay on the trail and keep a close eye on kids. 🪨 The trail to the Rockbridge branches off to go to the Rock Shelter. 🦋 The preserve has a butterfly garden along the trail. We share some fun day trip adventures that you can add in all year long! ❄️January: Spend the day admiring the Ice Sculptures at the Richmond Meltdown happening Jan 30th- Feb 1st in Richmond, IN. ⛷️February: Go snowtubing or skiing at Perfect North Slopes in Lawerenceburg, IN 🦖 March: The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery in Dayton, OH. See a show in planetarium, explore their little zoo and catch a science show. 🦬 April: Big Bone Lick State Park in Union, KY. See a herd of bison, tour the museum and discover the Salt Springs. 🚗 May: Historic Clifton Mill in Clifton, OH. Stay for a meal inside the mill then go hiking at nearby Clifton Gorge State Park. 🧌 June: See the forest trolls at Aullwood Audubon in Dayton . Grab lunch at the Troll pub for a troll themed day! 🛥️ July: Spend the day at Buckeye Lake! Rent a boat, visit waterside restaurants or stroll thr nearby trails! Buckeye Lake is close to Columbus! 💧August: Head to the Columbus Zoo and Zoombezi Bay! Remember they have an adult lazy river! 🖼️ September: Take in the beautiful sculptures and grounds at Pyramid Hill in Hamilton, OH. 🕸️ October: Step inside Otherworld in Columbus for a bizarre experience that is truly otherworldly! 🥾 November: See one of Ohio’s UNESCO sites with a visit to the Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks in Chillicothe, OH 🎄December: Carmel Christkindlmarkt. This will forever be my favorite day trip in December.
