Ohio’s is home to many natural bridges but the largest one that you can cross is the at Rockbridge State Nature Preserve. 🥾 The natural bridge or arch is 100 feet long and 10 to 20 feet wide, and gracefully arches 50 feet across a ravine 🌳 Tucked away in Rockbridge, Ohio (near Hocking Hills) the state preserve offers 2.75 miles of moderate hiking trails. ‼️The trail has lots of tree roots, elevation changes and can be muddy. Wear proper hiking shoes and bring water. 🦟Bug spray and sunscreen are a must! 🚗 There is a parking area but not any picnic tables, garbage cans or restrooms. If you bring a snack pack it out. 🌟The area by the bridge has steep cliffs, stay on the trail and keep a close eye on kids. 🪨 The trail to the Rockbridge branches off to go to the Rock Shelter. 🦋 The preserve has a butterfly garden along the trail. Have you heard of Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park and Museum? 🌷 Pyramid Hill is a nonprofit park in Hamilton, OH that sits on a sprawling 300 acres with a incredible collection of over 80 outdoor sculptures. 🖼️They also have two museums with ancient sculptures and contemporary art. Both are included with admission! 🗓️ Don’t miss out on their family-friendly events such as Art & Earth Day taking place April 22nd! 🧺 Pack a picnic! One of our favorite picnic spot is the Patio Overlook. 🚘 At only 35 minutes from Cincinnati, it makes a great day trip! 👟Bring good walking shoes. There are tons of great trails and areas to explore. 🚙 Take a driving tour of the sculptures along the Gallery Loop Rd. Guests can even rent golf carts at the visitors center to access Golf cart only paths. 🎟️The park is open daily from 9am-5pm. I love showing off my hometown of Cincinnati, and when friends come to visit there are few spots we always have to visit! 🌺 While popular favorites such as the Cincinnati Zoo, getting Skyline and catching a Reds game is something many add on to their Cincinnati itinerary, we have a few more places to add! 🌻 We always head to @cincymuseum to take the kids to the Children’s Museum and see the breathtaking rotunda. 🌸 Stroll along the award-winning Smale Riverfront Park. 🧀Grab lunch at one of Findlay Market’s many restaurants, shop at the vendors, and take in the sights and sounds of one of Ohio’s oldest public market is a must. 🍷 Grab delicious drinks and a mezza board from @frankiessips ♣️ Head over to Factory 52, one of the newest spots to check out! Grab a meal at Gatherall, sip a cold brew from Hi-Wire, and more! 🌮 Make reservations at Mita’s for tasty tapas! Did you know that Ohio has an African Drive-Thru Safari were you can feed the giraffes? 🦒 While visiting Lake Erie we stumbled upon @africansafariwildlifepark in Port Clinton which provides a solid afternoon of entertainment. 🦙The park is open seasonally so add this to your Ohio summer bucket list. 🦘Admission not only gets you unlimited trips through the drive-thru safari (up until an hour before they close), but also you get to explore their walk-thru safari. ‼️ Warning: You are doing this at your own risk. There is a sign that states the park is not liable for any injury to you are your vehicle. 🦜The walk-thru safari gives you the opportunity to see a variety of birds and animals. You can even feed Budgies, walk with Capybaras, and kangaroos. (Some are an extra cost). 🥬 One cup of feed is included per car with additional cups being $5, or food packages available for purchase. 🦕They also have Dinosaur Takeover which is returning for 2025!
