Balancing hormones naturally is possible—and simpler than you think. Here’s what worked for me: 1️⃣ Stress Relief: 5-min routines like bouncing, tapping, & deep breathing calmed my nervous system and lowered cortisol. 2️⃣ Eating Smarter: High-protein, high-fiber meals (like egg white veggie cups & Mediterranean salads) stabilized my blood sugar. 3️⃣ Supplements: Vitamin D, Magnesium, Zinc, & the Happy Hormone Pack (including Happy Juice) improved mood, sleep, & energy. 4️⃣ Gentle Movement: Walking & strength training reduced stress and built muscle. 5️⃣ Mindset Shift: I embraced menopause as a time to care for my body, not “fix” it. Start small—it works! #menopause #perimenopause #menopausesymptoms #perimenopausesymptoms #womenhealth #menopauseeducator #menopauseeducation #genxwomen #genxwoman #menopausesupport #menopausejourney #cortisol #over40mom #over50woman #over50woman #over40woman #menopausalmom #menopausal #menopausalwomenoftiktok #menopausalwoman #HRT #BHRT #happyhormones #menopausebellyisreal

THIS!👇 Stop using your workouts to burn.  Start using your workouts to BUILD! Looking “toned” means we have LESS body FAT and MORE MUSCLE. Less body fat comes from aligning calories to your goals. More muscle comes from  training in a very specific way. Just going to the gym to “burn” calories, exhaust yourself and leave a sweaty mess will NOT create the sculpted body you want. Trust me, I’ve been there. What it will do is leave you exhausted, stressed, hungry, possibly cause muscle loss which slows metabolism, making fat loss harder and weight gain easier. NOT what we want at age 40+ when we already are at risk of losing muscle. Muscle will shape your body, create a toned look but also improve metabolism and help you sustain fat loss while eating more. But here’s the thing.. just because your workout uses weights, does NOT necessarily mean you’ll build muscle. Building muscle (aka hypertrophy) requires intensity, progressive overload, consistency and rest. It’s about pushing your muscles to their limit and then giving them time to recover and grow.  Here’s how you can optimize your workouts for results:⬇️ ☑️Strength Train 3-4 days a week with a focus of intensity, meaning you work with weights that bring you to or close to failure.  ☑️Use progressive overload— use the same program for 6-12 weeks, track your workouts, and try to increase the weight or reps each week. ☑️Rest and recover. Rest days are a MUST for building lean muscle, especially over 40. Walk, stretch, recover and aim to get 7+ hours of sleep so those muscles can repair. ☑️Align your nutrition with your goals. The kitchen is where you lose, the gym is where you build. Fat loss= calorie deficit + weight training. Building muscle = maintenance calories + weight training. This is what I do with myself and clients to transform our bodies! If you need more help with your fit over 40 goals, check my bio for my latest podcast where I share more tips on how to train so you finally see that toned physique you want! Here are 10 lesser-known symptoms of menopause: 1. Burning Mouth Syndrome
A burning, tingling, or numb sensation in the mouth or tongue, often linked to hormonal changes affecting nerve endings. 2. Itchy Skin (Pruritus)
Estrogen drop can cause dryness and itchiness, not just on the face but all over the body, including unusual places like the scalp or palms. 3. Electric Shock Sensations
A sudden jolt or "zap" feeling under the skin, sometimes occurring before a hot flash. 4. Gum Problems
Hormonal shifts can lead to sensitive, bleeding gums or even an increase in gum disease. 5. Tinnitus (Ringing in the Ears)
Hormonal changes can impact auditory nerves, leading to ringing, buzzing, or other noises in the ears. 6. Joint Pain and Stiffness
Often mistaken for arthritis, fluctuating hormones can cause inflammation and discomfort in joints. 7. Dry Eyes
A decrease in estrogen may reduce tear production, leading to irritation, redness, and dryness. 8. Changes in Body Odor
Hormonal shifts can alter how your body metabolizes sweat, resulting in a different or stronger body odor. 9. Weaker Bladder Control
Reduced estrogen affects pelvic muscles, leading to urinary incontinence or urgency. 10. Allergies or Sensitivities
Hormonal changes can increase sensitivity to certain foods, smells, or even skincare products #menopause #perimenopause #menopausesymptoms #perimenopausesymptoms #womenhealth #menopauseeducator #menopauseeducation #genxwomen #genxwoman #menopausesupport #menopausejourney #cortisol #over40mom #over50woman #over50woman #over40woman #menopausalmom #menopausal #menopausalwomenoftiktok #menopausalwoman #HRT #BHRT #happyhormones #menopausebelly
