HOW TO PULL HOOK GRIP ⬇️ firmly grasp it in your hand jk but seriously- hook grip is a skill and practice makes perfect. SAVE THIS VIDEO FOR YOUR NEXT DEADLIFT SESSION ✍🏻 1️⃣ internally rotate your shoulders prior to securing your grip to allow your index finger and middle finger to wrap above your thumbnail‼️ 2️⃣ Pull slack and secure your hook. DON’T choke the bar with your thumb, you’ll tear your skin if you do so. HOW TO INCREASE YOUR ARCH ON BENCH PRESS ⬇️ There are so many benefits to improving your arch on bench press. In order to do so you need to understand more about what to do and what not to do. DON’T 🙅♀️ try to bend your lumbar spine. Your lumbar spine is one of the most secure and rigid parts of your body. The portion of your spine that should be bending is your thoracic spine. Start by tucking your chin and planting the back of your neck into the bench. This will elongate your cervical spine and make it easier for you to arch your upper back. Use your legs to drive your ribcage up and try your best to maintain this position 🫡 This improvement will not happen overnight. Sorry to burst your bubble.
