24 weeks pregnant and it’s no secret my body has changed. In the gym I’m a heavy weights, going hard in the paint, no excuses type of gal BUT GOD! He has so graciously prepared me for this journey that I didn’t know I’d take again! This is my third baby and it’s been 7 years since my son was born! I lost over 65 lbs and got my dream body after him. Over the last four years I felt a stirring in my heart for another child but my husband and I would never say we were going for it. We were comfortable. I had the fittest body I had ever had and selfishly wanted to keep it. We always said if God wanted us to have another baby He would make it happen. Well He did it! 🤣 Here is how I have had to change things 👇🏼 1. Less intense and less often exercise at times: The first 3 ish months after finding out I was so sick with all day nausea and just moved when I felt good enough to. That was mostly walking/elliptical and lifting for 30 minutes at a time. My lifts decreased from 3-5 times a week to 2-3 times a week and I focused on my steps! 2. Less weight: I physically have felt much weaker and fatigued so decided to go lighter on my weights. It was really something I had to do. My body is naturally heavier anyway too so body weight exercise has become my friend. 3. Nourishing my body with high protein, fats, and complex carbs: There were days I had to wake up and eat saltines or pretzels for breakfast because of the nausea so I did my best to make sure I was balancing that out with protein and fat! I’m getting at least 100 oz of protein per day if not more! I’m also super focused on healthy animal fats. Heavy cream and real butter along with raw milk and eggs are my friends! Don’t be afraid of fat. It’s the sugar and simple carbs we should be worried about. Right now my energy is up so I am taking full advantage of how good I feel and getting my other two kids moving with me! They love doing stations. That has been fun.🤩 If you are a woman and need help learning to move in any stage of life I’m here to support you! Did you workout in your pregnancies?! I would love to know!
