GET RID OF THAT FRYING AROMA! Use warm/sweet spices to eliminate oily frying odors. I promise, this works! You can get this going before frying, or do it after. Fill a saucepan or deep skillet halfway with water. Add a cinnamon stick or two (or 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon), 1 or 2 star anise pods, 1 few whole cloves and allspices pods, and some fennel seeds if you feel like it. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer on the stove for a couple of hours, monitoring the water level and adding more as necessary. Your kitchen will smell delicious.
