lil brain dump from like 2 months ago that I feel every girlie looking to start their health + fitness journey needs to hear 💘 !!!! LONG READ!!!! Last year (my wedding year, might I add) I felt so unmotivated and lost. I wasn’t loving what I was doing and felt so much resistance towards my workouts. I was working with a coach at this time and I felt so much guilt on top of that for investing all this money into something that I couldn’t even stay consistent with. Also on top top of that, I also felt like a imposter because this is literally what I do for a living!! I started making so many excuses as to why I was probably feeling this way (busy with work, homeowner issues, wedding stress, etc) but deep down, I knew those excuses were just masking the real issue- I had completely disconnected from the why behind my goals. I was so focused on external outcomes (for 9 YEARS) that I lost sight of what truly mattered: feeling good in my body both mentally and physically. Once I let go of the pressure to look a certain way and started prioritizing how I felt, everything shifted!! My workouts became something I actually enjoyed, and instead of punishing my body, I started moving and eating in ways that supported my overall well being 🫶🏼 before you get caught in this toxic cycle, take a step back and ask yourself: What really matters to me? Is it chasing an unrealistic standard, or is it feeling strong, energized, and confident in your own skin? 💌
