Even I can't believe it myself sometimes... it took 12 years & several different methods to lose 235lbs... but 1 thing I know for certain is, I would not weigh below 200lbs if it hadn't been for starting Mounjaro over 2 years ago. One of my very favorite podcasters said this on her show this week & it made me sad for her! @Megan McCain there is no shame in treating your disease. Hollywood & the media have made treating the disease of obesity something moral & it's not. For people with the disease of obesity this medication gives us a chance of living life in a normal sized body & not have to suffer with everything that comes with obesity physically. Yes, I will be on this medication for the rest of my life, but because I lost 75lbs with a GLP1, I no longer have to take my blood pressure meds, water pill, ssri's or ibuprofen daily to combat the aches & pains associated with being obese.
