🆘🚨ALERTED & URGENT! GRETTA NEEDS RESCUE BY TUESDAY 1/21 @ 8AM!🚨🆘 Gretta doesn’t deserve this 💔 She arrived at the shelter a week ago and is now scheduled to lose her life on Tuesday 1/21 if a RESCUE doesn’t come for her. Plenty of empty kennels thanks to the outpouring of fosters, adopters, and rescues that stepped up in the past few weeks, but it doesn’t matter. 5 yr old Gretta arrived as a stray and was understandably very scared when she first got to the shelter. A staff member who did her intake put in a note stating, “Dog was trying to bite at leash and scanner, and was trying to avoid me at all costs. Use caution!!!” Supervisors alerted Greta just a few days after because of her fear, anxiety, and stress. With a little time and patience though, Gretta showed what a lovely lady she can be! She’s sweet, playful, and engaged. She’s been in playgroup a few times and is described as gentle/dainty but prefers her space around other dogs. A staff member even put a nice note in for Gretta yesterday stating , “Gretta was calm and took treats at front of kennel. I was able to enter kennel without issue. She was calm and allowed pets, took treats and did well with interaction. At one point she was at kennel door looking to get out and seemed anxious. There were no signs of aggression at this time.” Sadly, none of this matters. Gretta was made RESCUE ONLY and has been given until TUESDAY 1/21 @ 8AM to exit the shelter. She needs a hero now!
