🎄🐾 Patch got to open one present last night before bed! He loves unwrapping gifts and we love to watch him experience joy in picking out his next item to unwrap! Patch has come so far in that he feels safe and comfortable enough to try new things without fear of getting in trouble! We get so excited when he does something “mischievous” when really it’s just normal dog behavior! He likes to try new foods, something he had previously been skeptical of and he plays with his toys, something he didn’t feel relaxed enough to do. This Christmas, we went all out for our shelter pets — there were toys, there were treats...but let’s be real, treats won the day! The toys were all lined up, waiting to be pounced on...but the treats? They were practically inhaled before we could even snap a picture! 😅🎁 Honestly, who can blame them?! That festive, crinkly bag of treats, accompanied by whipped cream & spray cheese is way more exciting than a squeaky toy any day! (Don’t worry, the toys still had their moment...just after the treat-induced food coma kicked in.) 🤣 As for our Pet Resource Center, we’re taking a short break to recover from all the holiday fun, but we’ll be back to normal hours tomorrow, December 26th, at 2 pm. As the holiday season approaches, we’re thinking of three incredible dogs — Marmaduke, Wren, & Patagonia — who are struggling with shelter life. While we are doing everything we can to care for them, nothing compares to the love & comfort of a home. These three pups need a break from the noise & stress of the shelter environment, & we’re reaching out to ask for your help. 🙏🏼 We are urgently looking for foster homes to give these three a much needed escape, allowing them to decompress & recharge.
