We have had some tricky friendship situations in kindergarten and it’s hard for me as a parent to feel so helpless when my daughter is at school. Instead of directly asking her about people and situations from school (which often makes her shutdown), I can bring up similar scenarios while playing to organically start those conversations. Works much better! Head to my printables shop to purchase my Valentine’s Day Printable Activity Pack for only $2 (it includes this and many more activities). Make sure you are following so you don’t miss out on more activity ideas. #kidsvalentines #socialemotionalskills #sensorybin
This awesome game has been getting lots of play in our home and can actually detect their motion. Find it and other active play toys in my Amazon storefront. Plus, it works on self-regulation which toddlers need so much practice with. Here’s what that is and how this game helps with that… Self-regulation is basically our ability to control our thoughts, impulses, emotions, and actions. This game has 3 games that help them to do that. 1. Red light green light, they have to control starting and stopping plus listening to directions 2. Sneaky Steps they have to control the speed of their body, going very slow is tricky for kids 3. Spotlight Boogie they have to listen and move like the game says and it will tell if they aren’t doing the correct movement Since the game detects their movements they are prompted when they don’t follow the rules, making it very hard to “cheat” and holds them accountable. Seriously such a fun game! Thanks to @Tara for sharing. #toyfinds #kidsgames #socialemotionalskills #activeplay #indoorplay
