hybridrace hashtag performance

🏃‍♀️🏋‍♀️ Being a hybrid athlete means you get to do all the FUN stuff! My typical weekly routine is below, but at age 57, listening to my body is priority Number One. ‼️ For example, I was once a (fast) marathon runner, but now only run about 15 miles per week. Shocking, I know, but I feel like this keeps me moving well (enough) 🙏and injury free, even though my speed has dwindled some I use the erg machines (like air bike and row) as my track sprints of the invicible days of yore. I've never not landed on the podium, so I think the plan is working, more or less (although - ekk, the sport is getting fierce and that's not a given). Regardless of win or lose, I love the challenge of having to do ALL THE THINGS in one single race, what a thrill. Can't wait for @hyroxamerica Hyrox Houston in less than a month. Here's my weekly plan, pretty much every week of the year 🫶💪 🔥Monday: Short hybrid-run workout (3x1 mile + 3 sets explosive, full-body exercises) followed by Strength (heavy but not max) 🔥 Tuesday: Strength (heavy, leaning toward Max) then Yoga Class 🔥Wednesday: Erg Tabata (eg. Like 10x90 sec row or air bike/45 sec rest) then Strength (moderate) 🔥Thursday: Long Run (10k to 15k), leaning toward the latter 🔥Friday:  Short Erg Tabata, Core, Bodyweight Exercises, Mobility, Jennifer's choice 😅 🔥Saturday: Long hybrid-strength-run workout (8x 1k total + strength) 🔥 Sunday: Rest #LFG #thefitfork #fitover50 #fitat57 #hybridrace #hyrox #hybridathlete #adaptorperish #fitover60 #runnerswholift #runnerinapastlife #gettingfitdone #strongwomen #GymTok
