Age wrinkles the body, but quitting wrinkles the soul." ✨💪 This quote is my answer when people ask "Why do you keep doing what you do?" Current life POV in my late 50s (which is reasonable young 😉) is that it’s not about looking young or hitting PR after PR . . . or any PR for that matter, lol --  those things have all left the building.  Instead, it’s about staying in the game, staying passionate, and refusing to let obstacles define you or cause you to give up.   Maybe I feel slower, lifts feel heavier, recovery takes longer, or my goals have shifted. That’s okay. What matters is that I (and you) keep going when it comes to the things that you love. Throwing in the towel on something you love—whether it’s training, competing, or any passion—leaves a mark deeper than any wrinkle. It creates the kind of regret that time can’t smooth over. Growth isn’t always about speed or size or getting there first; sometimes, it’s just about refusing to stop and finding the joy where you are. Stay strong. Stay committed. Stay passionate. Keep showing up. Because quitting is what truly ages the soul. Viseo sidenote: I’m working on improving my overhead presses with different variations for an upcoming competition. When I’m sitting, I can’t try to press it up with momentum! #thefitfork #fitover50 #fitat57 #healthyaging #notdeadyet #adaptorperish #fitnessjourney #keepmoving #fitters #6packwomen #consistencybeatsintensity #hybridathlete #spartanwomenstrong #beyourbestbeast

Being over 50 or 60 + doesn't mean your goals, dreams and aspirations are over. Just think of this era as your time to shine on YOUR terms. Keep doing what you love, finally do what you've always dreamed of, inspire others, squeeze every ounce of joy thrill and growth out of each opportunity. Since being over 50, I've raced an uncountable number of Spartans, Hyrox, Adventure, and Road Races. Little local races thru World championships in some instances. 1 mile through Spartan Ultra distances. I've also written a book via a major publisher, kept my website profitable, maintained long-term, happy clients in the social media space, etc etc too much to mention So what is one of your your "A" goals this year? #thefitfork #notdeadyet #fitover50 #fitat57 #fitnessjourney #midlifejourney #beyourbeastbeast #adaptorperish #bestlife #Yolo #olderbetter
🏃‍♀️🏋‍♀️ Being a hybrid athlete means you get to do all the FUN stuff! My typical weekly routine is below, but at age 57, listening to my body is priority Number One. ‼️ For example, I was once a (fast) marathon runner, but now only run about 15 miles per week. Shocking, I know, but I feel like this keeps me moving well (enough) 🙏and injury free, even though my speed has dwindled some I use the erg machines (like air bike and row) as my track sprints of the invicible days of yore. I've never not landed on the podium, so I think the plan is working, more or less (although - ekk, the sport is getting fierce and that's not a given). Regardless of win or lose, I love the challenge of having to do ALL THE THINGS in one single race, what a thrill. Can't wait for @hyroxamerica Hyrox Houston in less than a month. Here's my weekly plan, pretty much every week of the year 🫶💪 🔥Monday: Short hybrid-run workout (3x1 mile + 3 sets explosive, full-body exercises) followed by Strength (heavy but not max) 🔥 Tuesday: Strength (heavy, leaning toward Max) then Yoga Class 🔥Wednesday: Erg Tabata (eg. Like 10x90 sec row or air bike/45 sec rest) then Strength (moderate) 🔥Thursday: Long Run (10k to 15k), leaning toward the latter 🔥Friday:  Short Erg Tabata, Core, Bodyweight Exercises, Mobility, Jennifer's choice 😅 🔥Saturday: Long hybrid-strength-run workout (8x 1k total + strength) 🔥 Sunday: Rest #LFG #thefitfork #fitover50 #fitat57 #hybridrace #hyrox #hybridathlete #adaptorperish #fitover60 #runnerswholift #runnerinapastlife #gettingfitdone #strongwomen #GymTok
