To truly feel our emotions, we need to slow down and pay attention to them. Start by naming what you're feeling, which helps calm the strong reactions that come with intense emotions. By doing this, we can better understand why we're feeling a certain way and what we might do about it. Asking questions like "What is this emotion telling me?" helps us find helpful actions. When we show gratitude for all our feelings, even the tough ones, we can learn to work with them instead of against them.
