Cornish Cross chickens, the most vulnerable and costly animals we care for, require specialized diets, therapies, and veterinary care to thrive. One year ago, Esteban and Arturo were rescued from an illegal slaughterhouse thanks to our rescue partners @Humane Long Island These two gentle giants were given a second chance at life, and they’ve since blossomed into the biggest lovebugs, fitting right into our sanctuary herd. This is a sweet reminder why we do what we do every day 🙏 Today, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we wanna reflect on his powerful legacy of compassion, justice, and fighting for the rights of all beings.
