A post by @massy.arias on TikTok caption: I wanted to share what l've been doing lately in the mornings when I wake up super stiff, all of these moments are from my new mobility program Sculpt 👉🏽www.tru.training  The less mobile we become, the more in pain and prone to injury we will be. Take these few stretches you can do at home with one tool you can always find: YOUR BODY!   Depending on your own current mobility, these movements can be modified to your own range of motion. - Seated trunk rotations: start easing into the deeper ranges of the rotations. You can start by doing 2-3 sets of 10-20 rotations. I sometimes love to hold the position once l'm warm enough but l often go with what feels good for my body that day. - Cat cow: such an under rated move. Keep those arms nice and straight and let your breath guide the movement. 2-3 sets 12 reps. Inhale as your belly drops, exhale as you round the shoulders and tuck the hips under.  - Happy baby: you may have to find a few towels or straps if you are very tight and can't use your hands to get into the position. Be gentle here and rock side to side 2-3 sets 12 reps. I had the choice of staying in pain or getting myself out of that space with the resources I had. I experienced first hand how my mind was the most powerful tool to shift my mindset and my perceived reality. What you think you start becoming as those thoughts manifest into action. We often see our goals as so far away that we tell ourselves they are impossible to reach. We create this narrative that we aren't good enough, courageous enough, and often not deserving enough. The truth is that the longer we wait in "the pain" we find ourselves in, the harder it will be to come out of it. Nothing ever happens sustainably out of drastic change - long-term successful changes occur out of small habits and practices we take on a daily basis. Forget about how long, how far, or how much it will take you and START working right now with what you have. The growing pains you feel today will be the foundation for the resilience you need to be as successful as you need to be. Monday's are meant to be crushed. I was looking at all these eating clips I have of Indi and realized she will grow up having the most amazing relationship with food and even her body. I wish I would have learned this at a very young age and thought l'd be cute to show you how much balance we have with food. We eat whole and we eat well. If you are new here, Hi my name is Massy and fitness changed my life. It became the one coping mechanism to better my depression, my lack of confidence, my self doubt, and my unhealthy habits. I'm not new here, some of you know my story and have been on this journey with me for over 10 years, and if you have built an interest in the content that I make, rest assured that I am just like you. I wasn't a pro athlete, I wasn't raised with the healthiest habits, I didn't have the resources you see today. Every bit of who I am has been forged by wanting to become a better version of me. It wasn't until I learned that I could become and do whatever my mind desired through the many wins that came about exercise. The person you see today is a different woman. 10 years of the same philosophy and I haven't stopped learning about myself. Pre workout: I always fuel with a banana or some dates when I am going to require to perform at my best. This is optimal for your body doesn't have to be a big meal if you're not hungry like me before workouts. Usually my biggest meals are hours after my workout. I fuel my strength days with @TRU Supplements pre workout and during my workout I drink our BCAAs. To be quite honest my performance is really optimized with this combo. I only have pre workout on leg days. Any other day I just do a scoop of creatine and my BCAAs. The workouts are getting really intense lately. They are geared towards athletic performance.  Then I get home and always have a smoothie. The smoothie is simple, frozen blueberries, unsweetened almond milk, l add 2 scoops of vanilla protein, scoop of creatine, and a dash of cinnamon. This is how I fuel pre and post workout to enhance performance, aid in muscle recovery, and maintain muscle.
