Yesterday’s post had me reminiscing on the days when my emotional state was tied to the scale. I think we can all agree these 170ish bodies don’t look the same. Obviously lots of phases between these two. Almost 7 years. Plenty of time spent in a calorie deficit focused on fat loss but even more time spent in a surplus or at maintenance focusing on building muscle, getting stronger, and fueling my body. Not letting every fluctuation or increase on the scale deter me from my goals or mess with my emotional well being. Just a reminder that not all weight looks the same. The scale is a tool for data. Even when you are consistently putting in the work and doing all the things fluctuations WILL happen. At the end of the day if you feel good about yourself and the work you are putting in then who the fuck cares. Also this is nearly 7 years…not a year or a couple months. Can’t tell you how many clients have said to me after a month or two “I’m not noticing much change”. Join the club 🤷♀️ Put in the work, change will happen..slowly 🫶🏽
