EVERYTHING IS TO YOUR PREFERENCE.  ingredients:  1 lb beef (flank steak, sirloin, or any preferred cut), thinly sliced 4 cups broccoli florets 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for cooking) 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tablespoon ginger, minced (optional) 1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium preferred) 2 tablespoons oyster sauce (optional) 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce (optional) 1 tablespoon cornstarch (for thickening) 1 tablespoon water (to dissolve cornstarch) 1 tablespoon sesame oil (for flavor) 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (optional for acidity) 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional for sweetness) For the Rice: 2 cups jasmine rice (or any preferred rice) 4 cups water (or as needed for rice cooking) Salt (to taste) Instructions: Cook the rice: Rinse the rice and cook it according to the package instructions. Prepare the beef: Heat oil in a pan, then sauté garlic and ginger. Add beef and cook until browned. Remove from the pan. Cook the broccoli: In the same pan, stir-fry broccoli until tender, then add the beef back in. Make the sauce: Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, water, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and brown sugar. Pour over the beef and broccoli, stirring until the sauce thickens.
