I thought it wasn’t possible to fix the body shape I used to have. I thought I’d never be able to grow my glutes. I thought it was genetic but turns out, I had poor posture!  My chronic lower back pain led me to starting my posture journey and I haven’t looked back since! I still have a lot of work to do to help fix my posture but I’ve come a long way and I’m so proud of my progress🫶🏼 So far I’ve been able to fix my Posterior Pelvic Tilt, Lateral Pelvic Tilt, and I’m almost done fixing my Flared Ribs. You shouldn’t have to thrust your hips forward at the top of your squat or overarch your back to feel squats in your glutes! Both actions are unnecessary and can potentially lead to lower back pain!  When you have proper posture, feeling squats in your glutes will  come naturally! When our posture is off, we tend to feel squats more in our lower back or quads.  To help improve your posture and fix your glute imbalances, focus on deep core exercises, hip mobility exercises and hip stability exercises! One of the biggest mistakes I made in my fitness journey was skipping my warm up and mobility routine! It’s amazing seeing how much my posture and my body has changed throughout the years💪🏼 Since working on fixing my flared ribs, my spine is more mobile and less stiff! My chronic low back and middle back pain are completely gone. The first photo was me in 2023. I was 140lbs. The second photo is me now and I’m at 148lbs. Although I’m 8lbs heavier, my waist looks smaller and my glutes grew because I went in a bulk last year. I’m now eating at maintance calories.
