Sweet & spicy squid 🦑 * ½ lb (or 200g) Dried squid * 2 tbsp mayonnaise * ½ cup of water * 2 tbsp sugar * 1 red pepper flakes * 2 tbsp red pepper paste * 1.5 tbsp corn syrup (or just 1tbsp more of sugar) * Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds (optional) 1. Korean markets sell these dried squid packs in the freezer aisles. The squid looks white and stringy. 2. Mix squid and mayo together (DO NOT RINSE THE SQUID. IT MADE IT WATERY SO I HAD TO MAKE ANOTHER BATCH) 3. Add water, sugar, pepper flakes, red pepper paste, syrup into a pan and mix together on low-medium heat 4. Once sauce is well mixed together turn off heat and mix in squid (I had to let it cool and mixed one more time with my hands, but you should be able to mix on the pan) 5. Can serve hot or cold! Good in fridge for 5-6 days! FYI They sell this dried squid in the frozen aisle of Korean/Asian grocery stores
