Anterior Oblique myofascial chain needs to be strong to hold the pubic bone in place. This chain runs from the oblique abdominal muscles down across the pubic bone to the opposite inner thigh muscles, the adductors, on both sides of the body. If the myofascial chain is weak, the pubic bone moves around too much causing pain. This chain will stretch as your body accommodates your growing baby. Keep your anterior oblique myofascial chain strong with this exercise!! Squeeze a ball, pillow or yoga block between your knees to activate the adductor muscles. Then twist cross body to strengthen the obliques muscles with a resistance band or small weight. Don’t forget to do both sides! 2 sets or 10.
