Uterus is a muscle. It’s job it is to contract during the #birthing process to move the baby down and out of the body. These contractions press baby’s head down onto the cervix to dilate (open) and efface (thin) until fully open. Your body will have as many contractions as needed to fully open up for your baby to cross your finish line. Train with me! Your body is incredibly smart when it comes to birth!! All the squatting, lunging, hinging, twisting, rotating you do during labor is working #baby through the pelvis. When it comes time for baby to cross your finish line, you will instinctively squeeze your knees closer together to crate space at the bottom of the pelvis for baby to emerge from your body. Follow your instincts. Trust your instincts. Surrender to the process. Connect to your incredible #birthing power within to labor your baby across your finish line. Want to learn how? Providers like to see👶🏽head down by 32 weeks. 40% of👶🏽will still be breech at 32 weeks. This is normal. 96-97% of👶🏽will find their way head down the last 6-8 weeks of pregnancy. 💥Our society has a bad outlook on breech babies being born vaginally. Why? It’s a lost skill set that is no longer trained in the medical field. When one has no training or knowledge in a subject it is feared. Expecting moms are sacred into cesarean birth with a breech baby because the provider does not have the vaginal breech skill set. They fear the process and pass that fear along to their expecting parents. 🌟Breech baby is a variation of normal and can be born vaginally with a provider competent and comfortable in the skill set. If you want a natural birth experience and your baby decides to be born breech, find a competent, confident provide in vaginal breech. Most will be looking for a midwife!! 👏🏻You can encourage your baby to be head down by creating space for baby during pregnancy daily. Baby knows instinctively to be head down. Variations are shown in this video to choose the ones that you feel works best for you. Encourage to start in the second trimester. Ways to Encourage a Head Down Baby: ✔️Awareness of your daily postural habits ✔️Inversions (Spinning Babies Forward Leaning Inversion is a popular one, see resource to learn more) ✔️Psoas Release ✔️Pelvic Floor Release ✔️Webster Certified Chiropractor (Dr Kenyon Godwin, Active Family Wellness Center in video) ✔️Pelvic Floor Therapist (Dr Danyelle Russell, Strong Foundation Physical Therapy in video) ✔️34+ weeks Natural Birth Workshop - Train for Birth👉🏼trainforbirth.com 😉I have helped many 36 week gestation babies find their way head down by creating space within their momma’s body!! Posterior #baby is a baby navigating the pathway of the pelvis looking towards the pubic bone. Most babies will rotate during labor to the anterior side of mom’s body to be born facing the sacrum. Very few babies need to be born in a posterior position. Posterior babies may or may not cause back discomfort, contractions come in twos, dilation progress can be very slow, constant pressure on the bladder and instinctively you want to thrust your hips forward to arch your back to create space for the baby to descend in the pelvis. Posterior babies can be born vaginally. Maybe more intense labor and slower progression but it can happen with your willingness, determination and patience from your #birth team. #TrainforBirth workshop helps prepare the body to encourage baby to navigate the pathway in a good #birthing position. 2️⃣ sacs protecting your baby in utero. 1️⃣The outer sac is called the CHORION. 2️⃣The inner sac is called the AMNION. These 2️⃣ sacs provide a protective barrier for your baby during #pregnancy and #birth. Inside the amnion sac is the baby, umbilical cord and amniotic fluid. There is a small amount of fluid in between the two sacs. Sometimes the CHORION sac can break only leaving the AMNION sac still intact protecting your baby. Most of the time both sacs will break during the birthing process. Lastly, if the sacs don’t break…#baby will be born in the water sacs as known as EN CAUL. ‼️It is utmost important to leave the water sacs alone. Let them break when they are intended to break. The birthing process knows the waters should release right before a baby is born. Want to learn more? My #naturalbirth workshop, #TrainforBirth covers water breaking in detail and its importance in the #birthing process. Train with me! Anterior Oblique myofascial chain needs to be strong to hold the pubic bone in place. This chain runs from the oblique abdominal muscles down across the pubic bone to the opposite inner thigh muscles, the adductors, on both sides of the body. If the myofascial chain is weak, the pubic bone moves around too much causing pain. This chain will stretch as your body accommodates your growing baby. Keep your anterior oblique myofascial chain strong with this exercise!! Squeeze a ball, pillow or yoga block between your knees to activate the adductor muscles. Then twist cross body to strengthen the obliques muscles with a resistance band or small weight. Don’t forget to do both sides! 2 sets or 10. Stay active during pregnancy to reduce your aches and pains with my pregnancy training program👉🏼trainforbirth.com #fyp #fitpregnancy #pregnancyexercise #pregnancytraining #pregnancyworkout #activepregnanacy #trainforbirth #krishacrosley
.😰I DON’T WANT TO TEAR!! Tearing during #childbirth is a huge fear! 💯Let’s be real…your body is pushing a watermelon size object out of a bagel size hole!! YES you may tear or NO you may not tear. Tissues tearing depend on many things: 〰️Your body’s #birthing position. 〰️Pushing too hard, too fast 〰️Baby has hand or elbow up by face at birth 〰️Baby position at #birth 〰️Elasticity of the perineum and vaginal tissues 〰️Diet through #pregnancy 〰️Assisted delivery methods 〰️Pelvic floor anatomy 〰️Rushing through birth, not allowing tissues to stretch There are #perineum support measures you can discuss with your provider at time of delivery to help reduce the chances of tearing: ☑️Perineal massage as baby moves down ☑️Warm compress on perineum during crowing ☑️Birthing in water ☑️You birth in the birthing position you want! ☑️Breathing! Short quick pants with contractions to ease baby’s head out slowly to give your perineal tissues time to stretch. 💥I don’t encourage perineal massage the last few weeks of pregnancy. Simply because the person that does it doesn’t know what they are doing! See a professional that is competent in perineal massage skill set if you desire perineum birth prep. Keep in mind…what gets you #pregnant gets you unpregnant! 🍆👉🏼⭕️ Prostaglandins in the semen ripens the cervix and sex prepares the vaginal tissues/perineum for birth!! 💧Walk around no underwear the last few weeks of pregnancy when your vaginal area is producing more moisture to soften the perineal tissues in preparation for birth. 💞Human bodies are beautifully designed to keep our species thriving on this planet!!
