Can you believe Red Dye No. 3 was banned from lipstick decades ago but is still allowed in kids’ snacks and cereals? It’s time we stop relying on the government to guide us on how to nourish our kids and take matters into our own hands. As a mom of three and registered dietitian, I’ve helped my kids and hundreds of families around the world build a healthy relationship with food so they love fruits, veggies, and balanced meals just as much as the occasional treat—and you can too! That’s why I created Raising Balanced Eaters, a step-by-step program that helps you raise kids who eat better, feel better, and thrive. Go to www.RBEnetwork.com below to get a FREE lunch-packing guide and learn more about how this program can transform your home. Let’s create healthier habits together! 😬This one stings… but it’s the TRUTH.🫣 Your habits shape your kids’ future way more than the genes they inherit. Most people think their kids’ health is determined by genetics—but that’s only 5-10% of the story. The other 90-95%? It’s their environment, lifestyle, and habits. 🤯 Here’s the powerful part: YOU have control over that! 🫶🏼They’re watching your choices—what you eat, how you move, how you care for your mind and body. YOUR KIDS WON’T DO WHAT YOU SAY…THEY’LL DO WHAT YOU DO. 👀 Small, daily changes can have generational impact. ✨ ✔️ Drink more water. ✔️ Cook one healthy meal this week with your kids. ✔️ Move your body—let them see you do it. You don’t have to be perfect… but you do need to be aware! Your choices = their health blueprint. 💪🏼 Tag a mom or parent who needs this reminder. Let’s raise a generation of healthy, empowered kids. 🌱 📌 Save this reel as a reminder that you hold more power than you think. #healthykids #healthyhabits #raisinghealthykids #mindfulmotherhood #consciousparenting #generationalhealth #cleanerliving #lowtoxlifestyle #leadbyexample #thepowerofhabit #holistichealthtips #holisticnutrition #hydrationmatters #healthyfamily #crunchymama #cleanerlife #scrunchymama #scrunchymoms #thatscrunchymom #formoms
Like and share 👇 if baby gagging freaks you out! If yes, you’re in good company. It can help to remember that baby gagging is a normal, noisy, necessary part of learning how to eat. It’s actually a natural, built-in safety mechanism that allows babies to bring forward food they are not yet ready to swallow. So in many ways, it’s a GOOD thing! (I’m Malina, btw - pediatric dietitian & single mom of 3 specializing in nutrition for moms, babies & kids 💕 - and I’m so grateful to the amazing mom of this 11-month-old fab fellow for allowing me permission to share her helpful video!) If you’re finding it a major challenge to stay calm & positive & not intervene during a baby gag, the best thing you can do is to educate yourself about: ✅ Which foods, food shapes & textures increase choking risk⠀⠀ ✅ How to size & texture foods safely for baby ✅ What the differences are between gagging & choking ✅ Infant CPR & first aid, so that you are prepared in the unlikely event of a choking episode ✨ 👉 Choking episodes are rare. But it’s important for anyone feeding an infant to be trained in infant CPR and first aid, just in case. My fave online course for this is made by a nationally certified Red Cross and Lifesaving Society First Aid Instructor. It’s an EXCELLENT, 2-hour, self-paced online course from @safebeginnings. Head to where the links are kept for the link plus my 20% discount code. ✨ 👉 Need guidance on starting solids? Head to where the links are kept to download my free BLW starter guide. It includes a short list of budget-friendly essentials, lots of top expert feeding tips, and a 5-day meal plan. #blwinspo #feedingmybaby #selffeedingbaby #feedingbaby #whatmykideats #babyledweaningmeals #growingbaby #raisinghealthykids #babyledweaninginspiration #whatmybabyeats #healthymomhealthykids
