Day 27 of 30 Days of Handstands! 🤸✨ This is one of my favorite drills! While it’s much easier now, it was a game-changer when I first started learning to balance on my hands. It helped me focus on keeping my hips stacked while lowering a leg, which in turn taught me how to connect my hips and legs. Once you make that connection, balancing becomes so much easier! 👏🏼 Give this drill a try and focus on feeling the “catch” as your hips roll back to control your leg before it drops. They’re the same shape, and that’s the magic of mastering shapes—they teach you how to control your body and recover balance effortlessly. 🌟 Practice this: 1️⃣ Start with a slight pike. 2️⃣ Pull back to straight. 3️⃣ Slowly work on going deeper each time. This drill not only strengthens your compression but also makes your straight handstands range of balance a bit larger. We’re always more wobbly at the beginning. 🤷🏼‍♀️ The more you understand and train your shapes, the easier handstands become! Let me see your pike-to-straight practice!
