Are you the only gluten free one in your fam? Or how does your parents, friends or partner help make your gluten free life a little easier? 🤔 My mom and I have def gotten even closer since I was diagnosed with celiac & she realized eating gluten free helped her chronic pain. 🙏 And if I had to give loved ones of a newly diagnosed celiac any tips on how they could help, a couple suggestions would be 👇 ❤️ If they live with you, help them have a safe space, whether that’s keeping gluten out of the house or setting ground rules to prevent cross contact. ❤️ Educate yourself on celiac disease, label reading, cross contact, etc. And remembering your loved one’s fave safe brands or restaurants is a HUGE help. ❤️ Be willing to listen, whether to us venting or to us talking about concerns we have with upcoming food plans. What’s a small gesture that makes you feel seen with celiac? Lmk 👇
