SMITH MACHINE GOOD MORNING TIPS ⏬ 1.) Use warm up sets to figure out where to place your feet, then ideally mark it with some chalk to make sure you can replicate the position. You want to place your feet in the spot in which you can get the best ham stretch on the way down with a tight lower back. 2.) Push your butt BACK slowly while keeping your chest up and knees just shy of lockout. 3.) During warmups, choose a stopper height that gives you a great ham stretch but leaves you feeling tight at the bottom. This can standardize the movement and remove any uncertainty about proper depth during work sets. 4.) Slow on the eccentric is mandatory. A small pause at the bottom while staying tight is optional, but a good idea to try. 6.) It’s duct tape. I can’t reach the bar anymore due to mobility issues. 7.) SEATED HAMSTRING CURL TIPS ⏬ 1.) Get as tight and secure in the seat as possible with the thigh pad as tight as possible with some comfort remaining. This lets you produce more force with your hams. I have to push on the pad with my hands to get the most stable. 2.) Set the machine to get you as big a range of motion at the top stretch as possible. Full loading all the way to straight knees is awesome. 3.) Any speed on the concentric is fine, but a controlled eccentric, especially at the top, is ideal. 4.) Don’t worry about foot position and toe angles.
