Step 1️⃣: Find your stance Stand in your squat stance and get into a reverse lunge with your knee being in line with your foot. Mark where your front & back foot are. Step 2️⃣: Overhead Plate Split Jerk Now you’re going to practice dropping into that stance with a plate overhead. Aim for the marks on the ground! If it’s too difficult with the plate, you can start with no weights. Step 3️⃣: Press to Split Jerk Start by pressing the bar and once it gets to around eye level, drop under the bar into your split position. Step 4️⃣: Tall Jerk Get on your toes for a quick pause, then drop under the bar as quickly as possible, landing in your split position. ✅ Now it’s time to try the full lift!
