⬇️ Did you know that there are 5 types of interview questions? Standard, Behavioral, Personality, Brain Teaser and Technical.   Questions like: “Tell us about yourself” and “Walk us through your resume” are standard interview questions that interviewers usually ask at the beginning of an interview to get you to open up.   🧑🏽‍💻Standard interview questions are the most common and all about YOU therefore they are the easiest to practice.   When someone asks you, “Tell us about yourself” 🎯Follow this formula, PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE   1️⃣ Tell them a little bit about our past, why you majored in your major in college, what you did in your first jobs. 2️⃣ Then Present, tell them what you are currently doing. What qualifies you for this job. 3️⃣ Then lastly, talk to them about where you see yourself in the future. And spoiler alert, you should tell them that you see yourself at this company doing this job in the future.   🧠 For a full list of interview questions to prepare for get an Interviewology Profile to discover your interview style #howtoanswerinterviewquestions #jobinterivew #corporatejobs #interviewquestions #interviewtips #interviewprep #tellmeaboutyourself

⬇️ Here are the 3 best ways to apply to a job   1️⃣ Apply though the company’s website, often they use an ATS system that walks you through the application process. You fill out forms, they send you a rejection email it’s fun. 2️⃣ Go on the company’s website, find the recruiter or hiring manager find them on LinkedIn and send them a message or stalk them on Google and find their email address and send them your resume directly. This is moderately effective if you don’t mind being a stalker. 3️⃣ Tell all your friends, family, neighbors, classmates and ex-roommates that you are looking for a job and ask them if the place where they work is hiring. If so, ask them to refer you into the company by having them send your resume to the hiring manager. This is called an internal referral, and it works 99.999% of the time. Ok well maybe not that much it’s the most effective way to get a job.    #jobapplication #jobsearchstips #job #work #jobinterview #howtifindajob #corporatejobs #jobapplication

⬇️90% of hiring managers are NEVER trained to interview 🤝In America the majority of corporate job interviews conducted are social interviews. Which means they are basing their decisions on whether or not they like you and if you will be a good “culture fit”. Which is just code for “we don’t hire people who don’t fit in” ❌Hiring is not standardized, what works for one company doesn’t work at another. ❌Hiring is subjective, what one hiring managers likes, another doesn’t. 🎯The most important business decisions are made in job interviews, yet we don’t give hiring managers tools on how to understand their biases to therefore make better hiring decisions. 🫣When humans make selections, we rely on short cuts and trite stereotypes. 📌I am on a mission to teach hiring managers how to interview better by understating their interview style. To discover your interview style, get an Interviewology Profile a 40-page workbook that details your biases, what you need to work on and inappropriate questions to avoid #jobinterview #hiring #corporatejobs #hrtips #howtohire #howtointerview #biases #interview #howto #hiringmanager #boss #onthisday
