High Upper Wisdom Tooth Directed down with a Potts Elevator This was a high one that took more time. The other issue was the mobility of the adjacent molar which limits how much luxation should be done interproximally. 📌Distoangular incision and flap reflected. Overlying bone removed with the Woodson and small rongeurs. 📌My offset spade got it moving but I felt the tooth moving distally and superiorly. With active orthodontics, sometimes the bracketed teeth have some mobility. When using traditional elevators, using the adjacent tooth or inter-proximal area as a mini-fulcrum occurs. With mobile adjacent teeth and if fancy restorations are present, other means to luxate may be needed. 📌Woodson elevator to raise the flap (find the one I use at drwahan.com). 📌Offset spade is my next one. I can move the tooth but I feel more force is needed to get the tooth out (find this exact spade at drwahan.com). 📌The 77R offset elevator is next.
