#christmasham in under 30 seconds 🫘 Ingredients • 1 pound @camelliabeans black-eyed peas • Leftover Ham Bone (preferably with meat still on) • 1 large onion, chopped • 2 large carrots, peeled and chopped • 4 strips thick cut bacon, fried and diced • 3 tbsp @bearandburtons • 1 c @rustlinrobs Bean Spice • 2 Bay Leaves • 1 can Fire Roasted Tomatoes • 2 tbsp Minced Garlic 🫘 Steps: • Rinse and soak beans overnight (12-24 hours) • Cook bacon and reserve. Then cook onion & carrots in bacon grease • Add all ingredients in the slow cooker with 4 cups of chicken broth (covering the bone • Set the crock pot on high, cover, and cook for 5 to 7 hours, stirring halfway • Once cooked and beans are soft, remove the ham hock and bay leaves • Optional - 1 cup of beans to mash for a creamy texture. • Taste for seasoning and add kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper if needed • Serve with corn bread and a few dashes of hot sauce 🫘 @crockpot
