If you didn’t achieve your goals in January, reassess, plan, and just pick up where you left off. There is still 11 months left of 2025; do you want to go into 2026 in the same place as last year, or do you want to have achieved what you set out to do? #gymmotivation #beginnerworkout #musclegrowth #exercisetiktok

The teriyaki salmon was one of the best things I’ve cooked recently. My current priorities are getting in plenty of protein for muscle growth, but also fibre and nutrients for overall health and wellbeing. #healthyeating #highproteinmeals #musclegrowth #strengthtraining

A post by @amymichellefitness on TikTok caption: Who still believes you need to do 8-12 reps for muscle growth? As much as I love to chat about the science behind training, truly everything you need to know about selecting rep ranges can be summed up in 30s. While I would always encourage and programme towards low rep ranges, high rep ranges can still work when necessary (i.e. if you’re limited by equipment or other factors). In saying that, I wouldn’t be paying top dollar for a coach who programmes everything in 4x8-12 🥴 #strengthtraining #repsandsets #hypertrophytraining #exercisescience #glutesworkout

There might be individual variation but there’s zero need for all women to tailor their training to pseudoscientific recommendations. #cyclesyncing #healthandwellness #WomenOfTikTok #strengthtraining #debunkingmyths #creatorsearchinsights

A post by @amymichellefitness on TikTok caption: #Stitch with @Kelly Matthews Clarifying that activation is the size of the signal for amount of force production, which is related to the number and size of MUs recruited. Muscle activation is completely misunderstood and misrepresented in the fitness space! You see even high level coaches in sports like football grabbing resistance bands for “muscle activation” pre match. This is a good explanation of why they don’t prep muscle activation! Bands can still have a place; I still use them all the time for rehab/prehab work or general warmups, but that’s *not* the same as muscle activation. #muscleactivation #glutesworkout #exercisescience #warmup #musclegrowth

A post by @amymichellefitness on TikTok caption: The quads are the only muscles that extends the knee, therefore if the knee is extending, the quads are contributing. This goes for squat and lunge variations too. Deep ROMs are not necessarily better. While there may be other reasons to train a deeper ROM (e.g. standardising form or maintaining/improving flexibility) it *does not* lead to more quad growth. #legdayworkout #quadgains #legpress #biomechanics #sciencebasedtraining
