They are found in plastic (get rid of plastic cutting boards, water bottles or storage containers and  eat organic food when possible esp meats which often contain hormones).  Eat cruciferous veggie which helps clear estrogens.  4) Prevent blood sugar spikes but cutting out all sugar, no Naked carbs ( always eat carbohydrates with a fat and protein), eat fiber at every meal. Read labels. The food industry is good at marketing “healthy processed foods” as good for you but they often contain hidden sugar.  5) To reduce inflammation ->cut out processed foods which only inflame our bodies. Did you know having a DAILY bowel movement is key to hormone balance?  It is the major way our body clears toxins and in this modern day we are exposed to toxins every day. It is also critical for hormone balance as we need to clear hormones especially estrogen from our body otherwise it recirculates in a more toxic form. Lastly if we are not having regular bowel movements, we are not clearing out the daily debris of digestion which allows bacteria to feed on the food fodder longer causing bacterial overgrowth. This can leads to gut problems. Causes of constipation: dairy intolerance/allergy, stress, dehydration, cortisol, bacterial overgrowth, low fiber, low fat intake, low serotonin ( a neurotransmitter that plays a role in motility). What to do: 1) Drink 40% of your body weight in ounces and measure it out as it is more than you think. If you drink coffee, which is a diuretic, you need to add the same number of ounces in water to drink. ie 8 ounces of coffee, additional 8 ounces of water. 2) Eat healthy fats with each meal. Fats help lubricate the pipes ie olive oil, avocado (fiber too), nuts, and seeds. 3) Avoid the OTC fiber products ( psyllium) which just binds the stool even more and can leaving you feeling worse. Increase fruits and vegetables which add the type of fiber you need. 4) Take a probiotic higher in bifido bacterium than lactobacillius. (renew life everyday probiotic) as we tend to have lower bifido as we age. 5) Move your body every daily. Walking is great. This actually helps with motility of our colon. But it also means getting tools to manage your stress because if we try everything else but don’t manage our stress we will not feel better. You can not supplement out of this one. Mindset is everything when dealing with stress. 90 % of stress is our mindset. What we tell ourselves determines everything. ✨Giving our bodies what it needs to be fueled is important. Restricting calories creates stress to our bodies but so does eating processed foods and inflammatory oils. ✨Need to PRIORIZE sleep.
