We were craving a change of scenery, so we took a short drive over the CT border to Southwick, MA! Our friends told us that the Country Colonial Shop there is a sister store to Old Mill Pond Village in Granby, which we fell in love with this past December, so we decided to take a ride out there and make a day of it! If youāre craving a little adventure like we were, consider these stops as an easy day trip idea! ā¢ @crepes tea house: you can easily come for breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night, or just a snack in between your day! Theyāre open daily from 7am-11pm Sunday-Thursday, or even 12am Friday and Saturday. Thereās an Eastern European flair on the menu with savory dishes like borsch and pelmeni dumplings, but theyāre also known for their crepes and huge selection of tea! We stopped in after our shopping and indulged in a strawberry, banana, and chocolate crepe, as well as fondue. You can pick from different dipping sauces, so we chose a condensed milk dip since we had chocolate in our crepe! Definitely a unique find in the area. They have an additional location in Springfield as well. ā¢ Country Colonial Shop: you can spend hours in here! They offer many quality made Amish pieces, adorable decorations, and more. Itās a great spot for new homeowners trying to fill their space, or if youāre looking for a nice gift, thereās so much to see! ā¢ Summer House: a nostalgic spot for many in the area, itās a nice family-friendly spot for a fast casual meal while supporting local. The menu features burgers, hot dogs, ice cream, and more! Weāre always looking for day trip ideas, so if you have any, let us know in the comments! ā¬ļø
